Over the past 6 months, the Resonate:Dissminate team of artists, Mike Inglis, Graeme Roger and Catrin Jeans, have been working with the staff of Dr Grays hospital in Elgin to create a series of art projects across the site. The first of these exciting projects was launched on Friday 3rd November with a public screening of the Public Art Film Poem starring the staff of the hospital.
The evening included the film projected onto the side of the hospital building and in its windows with an accompanying soundtrack created by the staff and patients, as well as a fabulous live performance by a local junior Choir. Special thanks, in fact applause, should be given to Sarah Jane Laing and the dynamic staff of general medicine who went above and beyond in supporting the artists to make sure this event ran smoothly and that their patients could take part.
This is one of many exciting events we have planned for the next year as we draw the community back around the hospital and create a vibrant hub for art activities and community projects.
