i’m ready for my close up mr de’ville

Our great wee film THE TIDE BRINGS | THE TIDE TAKES had its premiere at Inverness Film Festival this novemeber. The film was produced in collaboration with the staff of Dr Grays Hospital Elgin. The staff gave up their own time to help with the development of the script and then acted in the film. The production was shot entirely on location within the hospital. None of the staff had ever acted before and gave amazing energy and many fantastic ideas to the films development.

It premiered at the festival on Thursday 8th November It’s a 14 minute short with a cast of 17, including Doctors, Nurses, GHAT staff, Porters and Auxiliaries. the ages from 12 – 90. Following on from the Inverness Film Festival premiere will be a screening for the staff involved in the making of it in Elgin at a local venue and thereafter within the hospital itself where we shall set up a continuous screening over two days so all staff can enjoy their colleagues’ antics.

An injured woman, alone in a near abandoned hospital, begins a surreal journey which descends into a series of tormented hallucinations. Bed-ridden and unable to speak she wakes as an inmate of an institution populated by a sinister staff. Imprisoned in this psychiatric facility having no memory of why she is there and apparently without another living soul, she fears she is going insane. Caught in limbo between our world and one far more terrifying will she succumb to the nightmare or will she finally escape.
